The Champagne Lovers Band is, in the truest sense of the word, a benchmark for traditional jazz: they make no distinction between Dixieland, swing or bebop pieces – instead, the focus lies on interplay, dynamics, generous space for soloists, and above all, calmness and playfulness. This is appreciated not only by the audience, but also by the band members themselves.

The band performs with trumpet, trombone, clarinet/saxophone, guitar/banjo, double bass, and drums. Double bassist and bandleader Jan Velek frequently takes over the microphone as well, singing, sometimes dreamily, sometimes wildly, everything that the music oft he first half oft he last century brought to the world.
